Greetings Leif & the Breakaway dev. team! I’ve purchased a few Breakaway Audio Enhancer licenses for me and my friends/family in the past years and in overall I love this software and its Multi-band dynamics processing and I’m very impressed with it.

    * I wonder if it is possible to completely disable the volume-control for Breakaway Audio Enhancer so that it stays at 100% "0.0dB" (locked) and ignores the volume +- shortcut buttons on keyboards and MCE remotes etc.

The reason I’m asking this is that many of us are not using Breakaway Pipeline as the default playback device and currently the volume +- shortcut buttons on keyboards and MCE remotes etc. controls both the "Breakaway Pipeline" volume and the default soundcard volume at the same time. And that is a real problem for HTPC users that are depended on their media centers.

I would really appreciate any help on this issue. Many thanks in advance. Cheers

It could be an option to disable in a future version, I don’t see why not. It isn’t possible to disable it right now, that I know of.

Many thanks for the reply. That option would indeed be very helpful for many of us HTPC users because in that environment the windows-taskbar is disabled and it is not very useful to check the breakaway volume manually each time (without a mouse).

Currently one of the common scenarios in most HTPC softwares (WMCE, XBMC & other media centers etc.) is that the on-screen volume OSD for example shows that the volume is set to 50% while the breakaway volume is set at MUTE or the lowest value -64.0 dB or vice versa and the end user will always be surprised each time due to the volume level.

Again thanks for the reply and I’m looking forward to the future updates even though I’m not sure if the updates are month away of years away from this date since Leif hasn’t been active on this board since the winter and BAE hasn’t really been updated since over 1.5years ago (v1.30.02 RC) 🙁. Cheers
