    Hi,

This post relates to a problem, which users face when using BBP on a server, via the livelink plugin (No sound card).

Basically when using BBP on a server via livelink one has to disable the output, doing so also removes quite a few calibration tools such as the very useful PEQ controls.

Would there be a way to make the PEQ controls also available when the Output is disabled? Unfortunately simply enabling the output is not an option as this will lead to a blue screen within a few days (the unsued pipeline just fills up until this leads to a computer crash).

Would Leif be able to make the PEQ controls available to all? Hopefully a solution to this has already been thought of in the upcoming BBP update! 🙂 Alternatively a different approach to the livelink plugin might help solve this problem.

    Cheers,

the PEQs in Breakaway Broadcast don’t go to the Winamp plugins after the core, because those PEQs are for soundcard alignment, not to try to get a certain sound.

The same with Breakaway Live speaker controller’s EQs etc, because it’s used to correct for the non-linearity of the soundcard and speakers.

a way to shape the EQ before the final limiters/clippers has been discussed before, and we’ll just see what happens with future updates. 8) if you want to EQ the Winamp "encoder" plugins, then use some kind of a parametric EQ in that winamp chain. 😉
