    Hi Leif,

First of all i have to say, you made very nice software!

I played around with the broadcast processor, and i noticed when i connect to my FM transmitter (i use mini plug to 2x cinch L+R signal) I use the left or right connector. One of those two outputs i must "load" otherwise the signal goes grazy overloaded. Is this known by you? Or do i something wrong with the output of the soundcard?

I’m using the External (BNC) input of my FM stereo transmitter to connect from soundcard, bypassing the internal stereo-encoder.

    Thanks!

    Hi Infodrive!

Thank you for your comments! 🙂

I have never seen a sound card where one of the outputs affects the other in that manner. Using one and leaving the other hanging should not make a difference at all.

On your transmitter, make sure pre-emphasis is disabled. It must be set to flat frequency response to accept an MPX signal.

After that, check the level — if it’s distorted, turn it down either the output level on sound card’s mixer, the input gain on the exciter, or the MPX ref level in BBP.

Do you have the make and model of the transmitter? Are you setting up a station or an in-house test setup?

    Best regards,
    Leif Claesson

    Hi Leif,

Sorry for my late reply, it was weekend 🙂 Many thanks for your reply!

Ok, this problem has nothing to do with your software. If have it also on normal music output. I will check it tomorrrow in deep. Let you know anyway!
Again, it sounds amazing your software. I used to be a radio pirate in the early days, but with your software old time coming back! Just to play with it is really fun!

Maybe a idea to make an option in the "test tone" mode to select right or left channel for checking the channel separation. Or maby this could be also be done by tone generator on the input:)

    Thanks
