    Hi leif,

In the OTSav users forum there is a discussion going on about Breakaway together OTSAv.
A user getting latency together the video function (video out of sync) in OTSav.

Maybe you can shed some light?

    Thanks in advance

I’ve already responded, noting I have no noticeable latency. I’m not sure what experiences others have.

    Hi Dr J,

I think it has to do with the ASIO thing.
    I’m not sure.

BBP is not low latency, and neither is LiveLink. It’s optimized for streaming stability, but easily adds half a second of latency. It won’t work for video.

    Leif,

We are talking about Breakaway Live (ASIO) not Broadcast.

Ah, my bad. Livelink itself is also not low latency, not even in Breakaway Live.

I can see how this is a real-world problem that needs a solution. I’m starting to think the Breakaway family needs a new member, such as a truly low latency processor for DJs, designed to run on the same machine as DJ software, and with two separate stereo cores for under $100, and without streaming.

Breakaway Live for PA use is really intended to be a standalone audio processor — i.e. use a separate machine for it, and forget that it’s a computer — it’s just a low latency audio processor like any other.

Love that idea – Oh yes, that would be awesome – I’d buy it! Very good processor, it’s just not feasable with OtsAV for video use. Integrated with OtsAV, replacing their dynamic processor or as a plug-in for OtsAV, that would be excellent. I really think you have the best processor I’ve ever heard for software processing. Great work, Leif! 🙂

Btw, is there any way to get Breakaway Live Asio working with the Indigo Echo DJx card? All I get is a very loud tone. I set the inputs to the dummy inputs for echo. Outputs to virtual out 3/4 and virtual out 4. Maybe I am configuring it wrong or it’s just not possible? There are no actual inputs on the card, only 2 outputs.

YOU are amazing Leif, Breakaway DJ is working (your alpha version 90.04) with Video now in OtsAV and is in Sync with my Echo Indigo DJx card on my laptop. Perfect sync, no glitches… I will be promoting your product in forums for DJs – you deserve it. Thank you thank you!

    No, thank YOU!

Like Leif Ericson was the first to explore North America, you, Leif, are the FIRST to come out with a real-time multi-band processor that works with OtsAV in sync with video – a true pioneer! Cheers! 😆

He is raving about it. I’m one of those OTS users. I too will also be buying this program. I’m currently wondering about the stablity and is this out of alpha yet. Will you be supporting it (adding new settings etc etc).

So far it has proven to be completely stable. I myself would trust it live at this point.

Yes, there will definitely be updates and new settings. The reason for the small number of presets now is that the existing presets in the other Breakaway versions were pretty much all geared towards broadcasting and/or smaller speakers. The presets in Breakaway DJ have been all been re-tuned for PA systems.

    Best,
    ///Leif
