Just installed the trial version of BAE on Win 7 x64 for use in conjunction with my PreSonus FireStudio Mobile audio interface.
Flawless install / configuration, and the level of sound enhancement is remarkable!
I’m about to move my gear from a bedroom/office into an acoustically treated mixing studio (just a few DIY tasks left before I can do that). In the meantime, I had purchased a set of KRK Rokit 5s to replace my premium (but very dated) Gateway 2.1 speaker system. I hooked the KRKs up a few days ago to verify their functionality and of course the sound was improved considerably, as one would expect.
Now I’m aware that Breakaway is processing the audio. I’m also aware the KRKs’ active amplifiers are far superior to the Gateway’s. The reason I bring them up is because of the remarkable degree to which Breakaway is revealing content in the audio (through the Gateway system) that I have never heard before, even with the KRKs. And it does this at very low volume, to boot. I’m hearing sound in the 12-15k range that was ‘invisible’ before and the controls allow for enhanced bass without the ‘boominess’ of most bass-boosters.
Well done!
During the trial period I will be running compatibility tests to ensure that BAE works with the various DAW and audio processing applications I’m using (where latency can be a critical factor). If/when all goes well, it looks like you’ll have another customer.
