I am willing to pay for a copy of BBP and donate it to CBS if they will use it on live events like tonight’s ACM awards show! Talk about sucky audio. Pumping on Carrie Underwood’s open ruined the song and then I hear ducking audio through out the program. Even on just plain old talk I could hear the up and down of the audio, extreme to extreme. It’s sad that hobby casters take more pride in their end product delivered to an audience than a multi-billion dollar broadcaster. Seriously…..can they NOT afford a 9 or 11?
The network has a ton of Linear Acoustic stuff, especially used on live events. What might be happening is your local affiliate is doing the audio damage. Have you tried getting a copy of a *confirmed* untouched network feed to compare? 8)
No I haven’t tried that. WKYT in Lexington, KY is the local affiliate so I guess I should see what if anything they can or will tell me about the mess I heard last night.
I agree, the vocals and lead instruments were all very dull. I thought perhaps my receiver was misconfigured but even when I threw it to plain stereo, it still was lousy. It’s really too bad. Other content on that station, including live sports all sound crystal clear so I doubt the local affiliate or cable provider is causing this.
