    Hey everyone,

Just bought and installed BBP ASIO, and my first Marian Trace Alpha card. I’ve used BBP and EMU0404 cards exclusively up until now, here’s my problem:

I’ve got a mixer issue within the Marian software, somewhere. Perhaps, some issue with Windows Mixer is part of the problem, I have L/R channels mixing and it’s like the card or my configuration has a feedback or a loop in it somewhere.

Plus, some misconfiguration is causing BBP ASIO to freeze.

I have the correct (2.0.2) driver for the Marian card to use with Breakaway, and I’m stuck on trying to figure this one out.

    Using XP SP3.

Anyone have experience or is there a step by step help anyone’s written on using Breakaway ASIO with a Trace Alpha? Ideas?

    Thanks and happy 2013!

Happy new Year to you too and all other members!

Since it’s ASIO in question.. did you checked ASIO panel? there you can select exactly what is output and what is input.
If remember correctly, all in/outs are selected by default. So, select only what you exactly need.

Yes, checked asio in the mixer panel for my ins and outs. will unload beakaway and double check with just the mixer running.

Got it working! How do I tweak this thing for lowest latency? 512 block sizes all the way through? Perfect Declipper did not appreciate being set up to 4000…caused the machine to reboot when I put it inline.

My setup has been causing something, presumably ASIO to cut out and glitch. I set the buffer size within Breakaway to 256 and within the Marian Software to 256 as well. Anyone have any suggested settings?

Try 800 buffersize samples with Marian Asio. Then go to lower values to see when it will start to stutter.
    Priority ofc to max (high).

I set block size to 256 on the Marian and 256 in Breakaway. It seemed to fix the issue. That, and there was a program that was trimmed out of startup that was referencing another. I was getting a DCOM error, fixed that, and the machine seems pretty happy and stable, in fact running ASIO it in low latency mode…no talent complaining about extra delay.
