Several months back i asked some questions about the performance with the Breakaway products running on a Intel Atom processor.

I was in doubt for buying an Intel Atom, i3 or i5.

    My requirements were:

    • Must be mini ITX motherboard
    • Needed one PCI slot for the ESI Juli@ soundcard
    • Needed to run OtsAv and Breakaway Live (BBP does not run properly on a Atom)

I bought the Intel D525MW and the Evercase 588IBS-180 and some other stuff.
It is very difficult finding mini ITX motherboard (with 1155 socket) who supports one normal PCI slot 🙁

I would like to share my ‘build guide’ to you guys. Maybe it can help you built your own Breakaway Box.

Maybe in the future i will build a box with an Intel i3 or bigger and use an PCI-express to PCI converter.

The rar file contains a PDF file.

BTW: I used Windows 7 Thin PC (32bit) in this box. Runs great.

    Great Job !!! 😉
    And specially your detailed guide!

But hey, keep your box at low temperatures !
    Always have a PSU as a spare… 😉
