Hi
I am using Breakaway one for streaming but for the life of me I do not know how to add a source for displaying Metadata such as artist / title etc. Can anyone help please – or is it an extra purchase required? Would like to experiment using Mixxx and Nowplaying2 which outputs Metadata through port.

LiamI’m not familiar with the software you are using, but mine is capable of putting out a formatted string to a specified file and I use that option. In the “core > streaming > overview” section of Breakaway One you can select “Metadata Source: File or URL” from the dropdown box. Then in the field “Location” beneath that box, enter the full path and name of the file e.g. “C:\Title\Metadata,txt”.
That’s it! Each time your software writes a formatted string into the file you specify, BA1 will pick it up and it should appear in your stream player. I use VLC and it works very well.
If it is working, you will see the string (greyed out) in the “Current” box above the selection field.
