Hello guys. I am the Junior Silva. I have been a user of BreakawayOne since its launch on the internet in 2018. Since that day I have been daily adjusting and creating presets with different sounds and for different purposes. I was the victim of a false accusation of piracy by a user who is known for selling pirated software in Brazil. He lives in Europe and is wanted criminally for fraud in Brazil. I want to make it clear to everyone that I am nothing like that. I provide technical assistance to broadcasters that use BreakawayOne in particular. From large radio networks to low-power broadcasters in communities. It is not my responsibility whether they use the original software or not. I always advise that they support the developer with the purchase of the original license, a radio station achieves a high financial return. It is not right to earn large amounts of money and not acquire the original license. Again I speak to all of you who are reading, I was extremely disappointed when I was banned from the old forum for no reason, then a friend of mine send me the printscreen with the false accusation. I was just publishing presets for BreakawayOne. I never intended to harm anyone, least of all the developers. I am a fan of this wonderful computer software. and I consider it a marvel of digital engineering. I appreciate all the perfection that exists on BreakawayOne.

My special gift for everyone is this MEGA folder. It does have default and custom made presets for BreakawayOne and StereoTool. Hope you all have fun.

Drama aside, I appreciate your processing advice and presets you’ve shared across your accounts. As a fan of both BA1 and Stereo Tool, I’ll be looking into these. Thank you.

Thank you Junior/Jovem, I like to spend lots of time testing. I’ll report back!

I get very mixed messages from you, Jovem Pan. I’ve followed your comments on various other forums. In some I see useful advice, and in others, borderline hints at piracy and attempts to encourage users to stray from the fine line of legality.

At this stage, the jury is out on where your allegiances lie. We will welcome your input at any time, provided that it is constructive and that your reasons for providing the input have no ulterior motives. If anything I hear or see contravenes our policies, you will be immediately put on notice.

Meanwile, thank you for your input. I’ll look forward to any feedback from those who choose to try your presets.

Junior, i try Rustonium ST3 for Ba one preset, but i have problem with peak modulation, with music is ok but when i have live talent in studio peak modulation is sometimes over 75kHz, Should i speed up agc?

If you are getting more than 75khz of modulation with voice means your soundcard or your transmitter can’t handle the amount of assymetric peaks. You will need to use Phase Rotation and decrease bass clipping. This will reduce the amount of assymetric peaks on air. You can try StereoTool VST with Phase Rotation activated on stereo tool VST. This can help a lot.

Maybe you need some mic processing before your mixer. Most serious stations have a mic processor/AGC because no two presenters speak the same way.

Something like this is what I had in mind – probably overkill, but there are simpler mic processors.

No matter what is on the input of BA ONE soft should not have overshoots at the output. KKaras: the key thing is a sound card with a linear characteristic, a properly adjusted square and flat response compensation. Another thing is also the linear characteristic of the mpx input of the STL. If the phase and amplitude response is not good, then overshoots are present. Also the mod meter on STL does not have to be 100% accurate. For example, Radio doo lcd-ledbar STL can show up to 5-10% more deviation compared to a professional modulation monitor. It’s similar with their latest series of LCD transmitters

Which preset has “Orban” style of sound, from name of preset i can see “8600” in some preset. And which one has “Omnia” signature?

    @kkaras
with due respect for the effort of the author presets, none of what is offered is satisfactory to my ear. Personally, the generic LEIF preset is fine with a little tweaking (a little unloading multiband, final clipper, fine AGC tuning and noise reduction, the preset sounds good on both cheap radios and hifi devices. Of course this is my impression.

If none of my presets are satisfatory to you, check your monitoring equipment. it’s impossible that more than 100+ different audio adjustments you can’t find one that goes closer to what you want. If you want ORBAN sound, you get a Orban Optimod, If you want Omnia.11. You get a Omnia.11, Don’t try to expect other branding assignature on BreakawayOne. you will get BrekawayOne sound.

Check your attitude at the door, MPX.

I tried a random sample and didn’t like any of them either. It depends on the type of music you are streaming. “Doof, Doof”, oversaturated, modern stuff might respond well to a particular preset, but the same one for (say) gospel music, could sound very over-processed.

@MPX There is no need for such reactions. Like I said, I appreciate anyone who spends their time on BA one and shares the effort with others on the forum. However, as the experience of sound is a subjective category, not everyone has to like what you are doing. The same goes for my or anyone else’s work.

Personally, when setting up the FM processor, i am guided by the criteria that the preset must sound decent on the reference system, and on mid-range Hi-Fi, and on low end portable fm receivers. All this requires a compromise and that is why it is difficult to make a proper preset. Yet if the station broadcasts a variety of genres, we are on our way to an impossible mission.

And yes, my monitoring equipment is so-so Studer ball receiver + Genelec. 😉 But that’s just one of three components on which the sound has to be decent!

I wish you good luck in your future work!
