What are the hardware requirements for Live versus Personal? I can run Personal just fine on my P4 2.4 gHz 512 MB Dell, but Live stutters at the begginings of songs quite a bit whereas Personal does not. I’ve tried large buffers as well as default but it makes no difference.

Also, I’ve noticed the tops of the meters in Live do not turn red as they do in Broadcast and the tool tips suggest.

Is there a way to get a taskbar volume control just like Personal has for Live? I like Live better because of the presets, plugin support and adjustability, but like the taskbar of Personal.

    Thanks,
    Stuart

    Hi Stuart!

The CPU requirements of Live *should* be virtually identical to Personal. In the default configuration, the only thing (algorithm wise) Live has that Personal doesn’t have, is the 30hz high pass filter.

What input / output settings are you using?

Good catch about the tooltips — I’ve forgotten to update them.

Good point about the volume control! It would make a lot of sense to give power users the option of using Live conveniently, as opposed to Personal — there are quite a few things Live can do that Personal can’t. I’ll see about adding it back in for the next version. I’ve also been meaning to add the toolbar — Breakaway Broadcast has that already, but I didn’t have time to do it for Live before my vacation, and then I forgot about it.

I guess I have quite a few things to add to Live. 😉

Sounds great Leif! I’m currently using these settings in the I/O configuration of Live:

Input 1 is set to: Interface – KS, Audio Device – Breakaway Pipeline 1, Buffer Size – 480, Buffer Count 4, Sample Rate – 44100, SRC enabled.

Input 2 is set to: Interface – KS, Audio Device – Envy24 Family Audio (WDM), Buffer Size – 480, Buffer Count 4, Sample Rate – 44100, SRC enabled.

    Audio Real Time Priority enabled.

    In Control Panel, I have:
Sound Playback – Breakaway Pipeline 1
Sound Recording – Envy24 Family Audio (WDM)

    Thanks!
    Stuart
