Hi! Some question for Leif about breakway one features 🙂

    1. Are Final clip limiter in the HD Core and final clip drive in FM core, the same sound wise?
Or the first is a look-ahead limiter and second is a masking clipper?
Is it possible to be able use the masking clipper without passing through the FM core?

    2. Does each breakaway preset imply different internal multiband/eq settings pre-defined and non-configurable for the user?
When I change presets and keep the Deep Bass/warmth/presence//brilliance the same, I hear difference a big spectral balance even with multiband/AGC off.

Totally. I mean they're configurable, but there's no GUI available to help you out. You can try editing the amx files in a text editor and messing with values there, but good luck with that. The outmix lines near the end of the preset files I think are the final EQ before the output. Try using that to tune the spectral balance once you find a preset that gives the processing you're looking for.

Save the preset to PC to get access to the preset file itself.

    Thanks for clarifying that!
Since i'm not doing FM, I'd like to use the clipper for a more agressive sound such as mastering a track, but bypassing the pre-emphasis, instead for having to use the smoother sound of the look-ahead limiter on the HD Core. Is it possible?

That's above my expertise. I know the Omnia.9 is the big boy version of BreakawayOne, and that the preset files are partially compatible. The O.9 has a LOT more functionality and settings available to the user through the interface than BA1, but you might be able to use the manual to help figure out what the settings in the preset files do, and work at it from that angle. Here's a link to the latest version of the manual: https://www.telosalliance.com/images/Omnia%20Products/Omnia%209/Omnia9_Audio_Processing_Manual_Book_C18315032.pdf

    Good luck!
