Hi,
The mail about the update says "It will also update part of the copy protection with the most recent version, which is what had caused the most problems with Windows 10 when it was first released to the general public." But on my computer with Windows 10 32 bits, I have installed Breakaway Live 0.90.96b then Breakaway 1.40.02 (pipeline updated too), and Breakaway Live still don't work, I still have the message "An internal exception occured (Address: 0x0)". So I guess this part of the copy protection hasn't been updated (and I doubt how that could be the case, as it's stored in the .exe directly). Maybe it's part of the next update batch that we're going to have in the next few weeks?

Part of the copy protection is external, which is how the Breakaway Audio Enhancer v1.40.02 installer updates it.
Can you take a screenshot of the error so we can see what else the window says?
Have you tried un-installing and re-installing Breakaway Live?
I tried uninstalling and reinstall both BL and BAE, rebooting between each, several times, couldn't find a way to make it work. I've attached the screenshot. I tried it in a freshly installed Win10 Familial 32 bits inside a virtual machine just to make sure my system is clean. BAE always runs perfectly, but not BL.
If needed, I can give a remote access to this VM so you can do all the tests you want.
