    Hello guys.
I,m using the latest breakaway broadcast asio with 2 soundcards first card is onboard audio: via hd audio vt1708b 192khz second card is an asus xonar d1 192khz
and i’m using the asio4all driver. my setup is: pc audio out – mixer – line in – line out mpx. When i start breakaway the sound and the rds are running great! but after 10 or 15 minutes the sound begins to crackle and getting even worser!! How does this happen and can anyone give me an answer how to solve this problem? When i restart breakaway the sound is normal again but begins to crackle again after 10 or 15 minuts!

Hope you guys have an answer

    Greetings Bart

asio4all is just an ASIO emulation that ends up using Kernel Streaming in the end. Have you tried just using Kernel Streaming in Breakaway instead? for starters, the latency should be less that asio4all. but not as low as using the actual ASIO of the Xonar. of course the problem there is you wouldn’t be able to use the on-board without some other setup like LiveLink + Breakaway Live…

which soundcard is getting used for what purposes?

Have you tried adjusting the latency of Xonar’s ASIO drivers? And are you using the latest drivers from the Xonar website?

Yep that should totally work. Try the latest driver (and reboot after installing it) to see if that’s the problem. If it’s still like that, you could screenshot your Breakaway settings so we can check that out.

(also, are you running Phase Tornado? i thought I heard that through the awful glitching.)

Are you using the RDS input? Have you tried not using Realtime Priority?

the rds input is for airomate rds

No matter what tho, you should try the latest drivers first, before you try to troubleshoot anything else.

jesse the problem is solved! for now. new drivers and turned the realtime priority off.
but works only when i use my basic setup with asio4all and 2 soundcards. the asio driver from the asus xonar keeps giving crackles an peep tones when i use only the xonar’s in en output. perhapes the card can’t handle it some way. iv’e used also diferent latency’s but notting helps im gonna test it tomorrow again and see of its stable now.

    greetings bart
