    Hello,
I am testing now the breakaway broadcast compressor.
I have radio automation software for the music and all that and last days i have been testing to broadcast and compress "What u hear" with the breakaway compressor and that works just fine and i love it.
Now i am dealing with another test. Now i have add mixer to this concept so i can use microphone to talk and add more stuff to the mixer and everything ends in the brekaway compressor and after that it goes on air.
    What my problem is:

The radio automation software is using the output plug on the soundcard and goes there to the mixer, in the mixer there is microphones and more stuff. After the mixer the line out of the mixer goes to line in on the soundcard, and the breakaway is set to broadcast the "line in" input.
What the problem is that after brekaway compress the sound it send it back out to the soundcard to the mixer (the same output that the radio automation software use)
That makes crazy annoying loop because then the breakway is compressing the same sound over and over again.
How can i set it up if i dont want to hear what breakaway is doing, i just want to mute that because i am listen to the mixer, not the sound after the compreesion. Because breakaway is in the same computer that the radio automation software. I have alredy mute line in feature in the audio output settings of the soundcard but i still can hear what breakaway is doing 🙁

You need to have a soundcard with 2 stereo pairs line outputs… or get a soundcard that does, or get a second soundcard.

    Then you go…

    Automation –> Soundcard Stereo Output #1 –> Mixer+Mic –> Soundcard Stereo Input –> Breakaway –> Soundcard Stereo Output #2

    Understand?

    Thank you for your reply.
    No i dont understand clearly

I have now add secoundary soundcard.
    There soundcards are now:
Soundblaster Xfi and Asus Xonar DS

The radio automation software is set to play on Asus Xonar DS
From that soundcard it caple linked to channel on the mixer, i get there the sound and everythings fine.
The main mix out from the mixer then go to line in on Asus Xonar DS again

The windows is set to default sound record device is Asus Xonar DS

    Then in I/O configuration
    Input is the Asus soundcard

L/R out is then sound blaster

Or what i am not understanding this right.

The breakaway does not get any sound when i try this. He is not picking up the sound from the mixer

    what i am doing wrong?

    [/quote]

    or in your case:

Radio Automation => input of Xonar
output Xonar => hardware mixer line input (physical cable)
microphone => hardware mixer mic input (physical cable)

main out hardware mixer => line in Xfi (= Breakaway in) (physical cable)
line out Xfi (= Breakaway out) => studio amplifier & speakers (physical cable)

So Breakaway uses only the Xfi soundcard
In Breakaway you setup your internet stream.
