those are the main crucial settings.
adjust the "crossfade when level falls to" so it’s 9dB below whatever your usual mix levels are, if you’re not playing songs that are cranked to 0dB. if you are, then i recommend using ReplayGain.

this will use the default recommended ReplayGain target level of 89dB. so with that you would probably want a "level falls to" setting around -15dB ish but don’t quote me on it, I haven’t tested that but that’s about where it would make sense to me. you’ll also have to scan all of your tracks (select all in playlist, right click, send to -> calculate replaygain) and "save track data" when it’s done. PERSONALLY i would instead use Foobar2000 to insert ReplayGain tags into all of your mp3s, flacs, etc. It can insert ReplayGain into both ID3v2 and APEv2 tags, so you get a complete coverage of the methods used… although APEv2 is really the standard method used by virtually all of the supporting players.
adjust Crossfade fade-out curve to taste.
also increase the "don’t crossfade tracks smaller than" setting to about 75 seconds, if you’re playing 60 second commercials too.
