Hi Ken!
You need one tuner with mpx output to record this signal, and one 192kHz capable input soundcard.
If you doesn’t have one fm receiver with mpx output, you can buy the Tivoli Model One and make a modifications explained on this thread: http://www.claessonedwards.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=514
And if you doesn’t have any Soundcard with 192kHz capable input, I recommend the ESI Juli@.
It has 192 kHz input/output.

Thanks "didac", I know all that and have the equipment, problem is that I don’t live in London… so I need some that lives in London to do it for me.

I wish there were more radio-freaks like you and myself! I’ve recorded and published MPX in several places I’ve visited, hoping to sort of start a community around that (wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to download MPX examples from all over the world?) but the responses I were hoping for (that is, other people recording stuff in THEIR cities and publishing) just aren’t there. 🙁

Hej Leif, precis det vore kul med lite fler MPX inspeningar. Varför jag behöver från Absolute, är att de kör iTunes taggning via RDS (RT+) och ville se hur det funkar på min iPod Nano som har stöd för det. Eller från US station som kör med iTunes taggning i RDS.

Försöker få det att funka med en RDS godare och egen mjukvara, iTunes taggning är baserat på RT+ , med ODA data, men har inte fått tag på all dokumentation än. Så jag tänkte analyzera MPX signalen med Pira burken.

I have sucessfully modifed Sony, Onyko, and NAD tuners for composite output. I mounted a BNC jack on back of the receiver and built a simple op-amp buffer amp.
If you know what a composite output waveform looks like, carefully probing with a scope can turn it up fast…
you can also put an transmitter with test tones on the air, like a quicksweep . then you can simple find the composite pin with an oscilloscoop
