    Is it possible to run an external audio source such as a cd player, or ipod, into the input jack of your laptop computer, and have the audio from that external source run through Breakaway, and come out the headphone jack on your laptop computer in effect making your computer a portable audio compressor?

    The easiest way is to use Breakaway Live for this.
    In Live you can select the line in of your soundcard.

    With Audio Enhancer this is not possible, without additional software.
    I think somebody tried this with Winamp and the line in plugin,
    but i’m not shure.
