hi.
i have a esi juli@, but i don’t calibrated him because i dont know how it works.
I have seen the tuturials but i’m not so technical with this stuff.Somebody tells me that the Marian Trace Alpha soundcard dont need a calibrate, is this true?
Ans is it really nessessary to calibrate the sound card?

This is true, if you have the extra $$ and can find one, this is the ultimate card to get.
The tilt calibration is very important, to see why, look at the tutorials in the support section and read this post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=801 but of course, if you get a Trace Alpha, none of this is applicable as you will not need to do it.
You will not need to adjust tilt if you have a DC straight exciter and STL using the Marian Trace but if exciter isn’t then it will still need adjusting so getting a DC straight sound card isn’t the answer to all problems! But it helps if the source, in this case, the sound card, is already straight.
There’s loads of suppliers stocking them here in the UK so I’ll probably grab one soon and let you guys know how I get on. 😀
