Any thoughts on adding a bass synthesis feature such as offered by the DBX 120 boxes?

There’s several affordable plugins out there that get really close to that sound.

But since it’s working against the grain of creating a sound that translates well to lower end playback systems, and it is also working against the grain of reducing peaks while getting the average loudness up (if that’s the goal)…

I really doubt that’ll ever be in Breakaway.

One of the ways that Breakaway does bass peak control is through clipping which generates harmonics upwards to a point… so any extra peaks would just be getting clipped more and turned back into the harmonics that generated them in the first place… potentially (and quite easily) causing the original bass to become less solid sounding than it would have otherwise.

It depends on the track, the subharmonics, the broadcast processing, and how loud it’s getting pushed.
