Im now using the trail version of Breakaway Asio.
Sounds really great in my opinion.
But I noticed something strange.
When i have the ITE limiter switched on en BBP is showing the meters than the sounds starts to crackle.
When i switch to Simple or Ossiloscope the crackling is gone??
With the limiter off there is no problem.

I didn’t calibrate the soundcard yet… 😳
Don’t have the material to do that. 😳
But can this cause the problem?

My setup:
D&R clubmate – BBP ASIO – transmitter (balanced in )
BBP version: 0.90.78
Soundcard: M audiophile 192 ( Does anyone know the tilt correction for this one?)
Plugins installed:
-dsp attenuator 6 db
-impact clunck
-bass efx
Switching of the plugins doesnt have any effect.
Also reinstalled breakaway.
Cpu usage is 30 – 40 %

Does anyone have solution for this problem?

Lack of calibration does not cause crackling, so something else is wrong.

What block size are you running?

Hello Leif,

Where can i find the " blocksize " value ?

It’s usually configured in the ASIO control panel for your sound card.

If you press Test in I/O options in breakaway, you’ll see the block (buffer?) size in the window.

Also make sure you are using the latest vga drivers!

When i press the test button:

Backend active! ASIO buffer size 256

Sample rate 192035,89

Maybe there is a setting wrong in the control panel of the soundcard?
I can make some screenshots if you like.
I will also check if there are updates for the VGA drivers.

I recommend trying buffer size 512. 256 places very strict timing requirements on the cpu – it’s possible that it’s not fast enough, but 512 should work fine.

That seems to solve the problem… 🙂

Thanks. 🙂

By the way..
I noticed there is a new release 0.90.87.
I downloaded the 0.90.78 from the dowload section. 😕

When is there going to be a new official release?
Or can i use the beta versions for broadcasting safely?

Or do you recommend to use the official release?
When is there going to be a new official release?
As soon as I’m confident of long-term stability.

The betas on the download page are known to be stable.

Best,
