Hello Leif, hello guys,
first of all: I’m a very satisfied user of BAE since July 2008, don’t want to miss it! Using it here at my personal computer and also recommended it to many others. Really, great work, thanks a lot for this excellent software!
I’m also following this forum for years now and read about two ideas for years. As they are still not implemented I just decided to register and ask myself:
1. It would be great to be able to control breakaway through any way of "API". Very simple way would be to use user-definable global hotkeys. Another easy way would be some kind of command line syntax. Or plain text files that BAE reads twice a second… Or even a "real" API… This feature was already asked in the past (2008 2009 2010 2011), in the 2009 thread it was even announced to be implemented in the next release (what unfortunately never happened). Is there a spark of hope that it will finally come in the nearer future? Or better not expect it the next decade? 😉
BTW: In the 2009 thread you, Leif, mentioned that 3rd-party control is possible in Breakaway Live. Can you tell me more about this? (Don’t want to install the trial here cause I’m afraid it makes problems to have BAE and Breakaway Live installed at the same time.)
2. It was also already discussed and announced in 2009: Is there a chance that a batch conversation tool will come? For those of us, that listen to music not only with a Windows-PC but also with portable players / mobile phones / Linux machines / whatever? Would be really great to have this feature. I’m so used to BAE that I even started thinking about writing a script that plays a song, records it after BAE processing and stores it in another directory. Not very comfortable – as I’m not a programmer it would take a lot of time, the recording process its self takes long time with 5k audio files and it’s anything but fail-safe 😉
Unfortunately I can’t offer thousands of Euros / Dollars / whatever, but: Even as a trainee with tiny income I would immediately buy a batch conversation tool or BAE 2.0 if it had an "API". Maybe a small motivation 😉
Thanks in advance for a reply and please excuse if my text is written in "modest" English – I’m one of those continental Europeans that normally speak such old-fashioned languages like German and French 😉
Greetings,
DeltaB -
