I still can’t install Breakaway Pipeline 4.31 (and by extension BAE 1.42) on Windows 10 32 bits, either on a real machine or a VM. Version 4.30 doesn’t install either. But Virtual Audio Cable 4.64, which Breakaway Pipeline is based on I suppose, does install fine.
If I install Breakaway Pipeline 4.31, it seems like it installs just fine, but immediately tells me that an older installation of Breakaway Pipeline was detected, which is wrong. And if I install BAE 1.42 this way, it won’t start because it cannot find the pipeline, even if it’s shown in the audio devices!
It’s a weird bug, difficult to explain, but I’d be glad if @Milky could have a look to see it by himself 🙂
February 17, 2021 at 10:48 am #16383MilkyKeymasterI have reported this fault. Unfortunately, I have retired all my 32 bit devices, so I haven’t had a chance to actually test it. I’ll see if I can dust off an old laptop and see what I can find out for you.

March 4, 2021 at 4:10 am #16394MwyannParticipantBreakaway Pipeline version 4.31 is now official, as it is now linked in the download page on claessonedwards.com, but this version is still not compatible with Win10 32 bits.
Although the older versions still works fine for me anyways, it’s weird that those beta versions are deemed good for public usage, as new customers may get in trouble trying to install those on their incompatible setup, without being able to download the older, working version (unless guided on this forum for example, but that’s not straightforward).
March 4, 2021 at 12:45 pm #16396MilkyKeymasterThe anomaly has been reported. Please don’t shoot the messenger. I will raise the issue again.
March 4, 2021 at 12:57 pm #16397MwyannParticipantI don’t blame you, don’t worry 🙂 I’m just surprised to see this issue not being resolved and being released as-is, despite having been raised during the beta period.
March 6, 2021 at 3:42 pm #16402MilkyKeymasterI have received acknowledgement that this issue is being looked at.
May 3, 2021 at 2:41 pm #16473MilkyKeymasterThis issue has been looked at, and Leif has assured me that it has now been tested in a 32 bit environment. This is NOT available yet from the Claesson Edwards website, until we have received feedback from our beta testers.
Any of you who have experienced problems with Windows 10 32 bit is encouraged to download and install this new intaller, and to pass you comments back to me via this forum.

May 4, 2021 at 1:28 am #16474MwyannParticipantHi Milky,
I’ve successfully installed Breakaway Pipeline 4.64 on both my Win10 64 bits and 32 bits machines, and it works just fine. Of course BAE 1.42 wouldn’t install with the newer version of Breakaway Pipeline installed (although it complains about an “older version” installed, which is wrong ;)), so I had to manually overwrite the files over, and after doing so, BAE 1.42 works fine with BP 4.64. So the BAE installer still needs to be updated too of course.
And thanks to Leif for this update too!

May 4, 2021 at 2:05 am #16476MilkyKeymasterThanks for the update, Mwyann.
I’ve passed your comments on to Leif and asked that he can make the fix to the production version and get it up on the website as soon as possible. -
