I’ve been a registered user since May 2010 and had to recently reinstall my PC. I have reinstalled BAE but cannot get the wizard to complete.

The Step 1 test works fine but the Step 2 test gives me an error which is unfortunately half out of the message window:

If I try the Step 2 test again I get a different error:

I have tried Safe Mode from Step 1 but get the same result.

I have tried Expert Mode and get the following error:

    I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP2.

    What is causing this?

    TIA

Make sure your audio drivers are working properly – can you play music through your soundcard?

You might want to try turning off Windows UAC. I’m not sure if it will help but I had nothing but problems with it, especially with audio drivers and play-out software.

Everything is working normally. I have the latest Realtek HD Audio driver (R2.66) and the latest Nvidia HD Audio driver (285.62).

I’ll try with UAC off and report back.

Switching off UAC did the trick… Many many thanks!
