    I recently picked up a laptop to use mostly for movies (an old Viao VPCEH), it has a conexant audio chip, and the moment during breakaway setup when I try the "test" button for the test tone I get a BSOD specifying the conexant audio driver. I first tried it under windows 7, then went to windows 10 hoping that MS would give it a different audio driver… no dice, same issue..

    Has anyone else run into this and found a way around it? like maybe a source for a driver that didn't hate breakaway?

    Have you tried NOT using "KS" (Kernel Streaming)? The chip might not support it.

    switched to DS and it seems to have solved that problem, THANK YOU!
