Finally I found why breakway keeps crashing on my system, it’s caused by changing system’s language for non-unicode programs, I’ve tried English, Japanese and Chinese (both simplified and traditional), breakway only works with English and crashes when the system’s set to others.
And if breakway’s started with Microsoft Applocale set to English locale, the control window will appear, but with no sound and the settings window crashes.
This problem only appears in Windows 7 when changing locale settings, breakway works with no problem in Windows XP with system set to any non-English languages.
Is there solutions for this problem? I’d like to see this problem fixed in future versions.
The problem has been acknowledged in this post (http://www.claessonedwards.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1024) and will hopefully be fixed in the near future.

yes i am also experiencing that problem, when i used windows 7. That’s why I am searching some information about this matter.
More than two months passed, still no messages about the unicode version. 🙁
