    I have a problem on my laptop that i cant seem to pinpoint. The effect of this problem is that all video that is played on this computer has stutter step points where the vid&audio freezes for more than a couple seconds then catches all of a sudden and resumes play with the lost time past. I noticed that when i changed the breakaway buffer size it affected the frequency of the the stutter occurences. My question then is what would be the "safest", easiest for my pc to process, setting for BAE?

    You might unclick the Realtime priority option and see how that works.

    How odd! I running it on my netbook (single core atom n280) all the time, while playing movies, and have never seen this occur. It shouldn’t happen at any buffer setting. What’s the CPU usage on your computer when playing music vs when playing movies?
