Hi everyone,
Last week, I downloaded the demo of Breakaway Live to try with Station Playlist. After downloading the plug ins and moving them to that folder within SPL, I never managed to make it work.
As I recall the 7 or 8 plug ins appeared within SPL. I wasn’t sure if I should tick off every plug in, just one, or what.
I’m going directly through the oddcast streamer…not through the sound card.
Is anyone using SPL who might be able to help me with configure Breakaway Live so they play nicely with each other?
Thanks so much!
Michael

1) Copy dsp_livelink1.dll to C:Program FilesStationPlaylistEnginePlugins.
2) In Studio go to View|Options and select Output.
3) Check the Use Mixer checkbox.
4) On the Mixer tab select Null Output as the Device.
5) Under Digital Signal Processors click the Refresh button.
6) You should now see Breakaway Live – Livelink 1 in the list. Move that to a spot above Oddcast and check both Oddcast and Livelink1.January 13, 2011 at 11:41 pm #11759earshotMemberDave,
Thank you very much for the detailed configuration advice. I can tell you right off the bat, I was doing it incorrectly because I had not shut down SPL. That should have been obvious but it never occurred to me.
When I have the time in the next few days, I’ll try it again, with your directions and let you know how it goes.
Thank you again!

It all worked as you indicated. I was momentarily stumped on the I/O settings but then noticed oddcast was telling me which pipeline was going in (1) and which line was going out (3). After that, all was well.
Thank you again for taking time to help!

So if you have the mixer set to null output, and Livelink1 and your encoder enabled, how did you hear the sound while streaming your music/content? Did you have to make BreakAwayLive the default playback or recording device in windows? Did BreakAwayLive have to be running in the background?
Any help here would be appreciated.May 28, 2011 at 2:05 pm #11762sneradioMember[quote author=”CaptainRiker”]So if you have the mixer set to null output, and Livelink1 and your encoder enabled, how did you hear the sound while streaming your music/content? The setup described was for a situation where Studio was installed on a dedicated server with no sound card. The audio is monitored by listening to the stream. So this particular configuration would not be suitable if you are doing a lot of live programming. -
