Hi all,
I share a server with a friend. He has his station already running with Breakaway Live and all is well. Now, I would like to add Breakaway Live to my station but I believed a while ago there was some issue with running another instance etc.
Revisiting this, I see a multiple instance version on the website. So, would we both have to buy this, or would I buy it and then be able to run it without causing any issues?

Just curious.
If you’re running two instances of Breakaway at the same time, you need two instance licenses… if they are on the same or different machines it doesn’t matter.
Unfortunately that doesn’t answer my question. The license is not the issue. Sometime ago there was concern that two instances of Breakaway Live could not co-exist on the same box, but with us running two independent stations on one server and a year or so later we’re just wondering. My friend already has Breakaway live running. If I was to purchase, install and run a copy, would it take both of us down?
I don’t know that this is possible without using virtual machines, because the license for each breakaway "type" is kept in one location (within Windows’ registry) for that specific type.
The license with CEAudio would have to be updated to allow more than one instance, or you would have to run additional instances in virtual machines.
