Hi!
I'm running quite often into this problem. Audio just stops, oscilloscopes and meters freeze but the program is not hanging. I can go to IO Configuration and then semi-quickly just press Finish, and everything is normal. Very annoying that there isn't a watchdog or something to reinitiate ASIO things etc automatically. This could be driver related (Behringer BCA2000) since it's the same effect that happens when I unplug the device or disconnect external clock if external clock mode is selected. But still, I need the watchdog!
Another bad thing is that if external clock changes to a different rate, same happens. WATCHDOG LEIF!
Don't expect a watchdog to be added anytime soon…heck, there haven't been updates since 2011.

You also might want to ditch the Ploytec driver and try ASIO4ALL.
If you're able to use the force USB v1.1 mode on the BCA2000 and still have the functions you need, I recommend it. It's much more stable than USB v2.0 mode.
I have also had this exact same problem. I am not running in ASIO mode I am using normal KS setup and I have been getting constant freezes for the last month. In the course of a 6 hour live stream it is not a surprise at all if I have 7 or 8 lock ups on BAL. I am been scouring the net trying to see if anyone has had similar issues to avoid posting here and looking like a whiny complainer but unfortunately I found nothing.
It is ultra annoying and worst part of all I got into the windows event manager and there is not log of an error. So I have no idea what to do.
