We waited for Breakaway for Android all these years and most of the replies from "claessonedwards" are regarding lack of workforce, IMO Breakaway should have a partnership with some other company to launch Breakaway in collation, why kill a technology for workforce unavailability.
What are your opinions?January 20, 2015 at 4:41 am #5583InfinitelyCrazyMemberoh yeah brother. Been waiting a lifetime for the android version of BAE. 😮
February 12, 2015 at 5:58 am #5584JesseGMemberI can't wait for it too. 🙂 It seems as the efficiency of the mobile CPUs is capable now without destroying batteries. 🙂 Unfortunately Undo is a pretty CPU-heavy beast, not to mention the entire psychoacoustic code would have to be ported to a different SDK (from the one it partly uses now) which runs on ARM, and it's still a CPU-heavy beast. But just the basic Breakaway dynamics core would be pretty sweet.
Now all that has to happen is for Android to support system-wide audio processing so that it works with all audio on the phone, not just a purpose-built "player" of some kind, which wouldn't allow people to use whatever they want, it wouldn't work on any other apps. That's why I've kind of shrugged at all other attempts to bring any kind of audio processing to Android, being limited to their playback software.

I'm currently using a systemwide audio processor called "Viper4Android FX"
This app is currently the best audio processor for android, it works on Android 2.x – 5.0 Lollipop. However your rom must be rooted and should install the latest "Busybox" for this app to work.
Viper4Android gives you 3 types of drivers to choose from,
Super audio quality (I have this installed, and no noticeable battery drain)
High audio quality, and Power saver. Here's the official XDA thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223I think they made it systemwide by using the "Driver". I'm not an android developer, so don't know much about how they did it.
But, I don't think it's so hard. Here's the links to the reviews of Viper4Android.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQavUOzRV6ESo, any hope on BAE for android?
April 30, 2015 at 9:12 pm #5587JesseGMemberNot that way. Leif knows about the Android kernel mods that make that happen.
I haven't looked at Android 5 info yet, but I know they've wanted to allow system-wide audio effects to happen for a while, and a complete overhaul of the audio engine to allow for ~realtime audio apps.
May 15, 2015 at 10:25 am #5588instantfeedMemberlooking at Maxx Audio, even-though it is not an audio enhancer but it works on system wide audio processing their must to be a way to implement BAE that way or why not to collaborate with Maxx Audio to bring tech. on Android anyway claessonedwards is lacking any presence in Android market so independent delayed launch is no more of any help.
May 15, 2015 at 10:29 am #5589instantfeedMemberOne more suggestion would be SRS like hardware audio processing to bypass any software hurdles making it compatible with whatever system ones feels like something with 3.5mm jack input, with a IPS display and on the other side a simple 3.5mm audio jack.
Though this system would be battery hungry for mobile devices but suitable for bluetooth speakers and other audio devices with external speakers.October 4, 2015 at 3:38 pm #5590DiaBluMemberGoogle is building a thing called android auto
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-auto
Where they'll use android powered head-units in cars, So this could take care of Breakaway in Cars.
I'm already using an android phone in car for music playback sometimes, And having breakaway playing with spotify would be pretty cool.April 15, 2016 at 5:51 am #5591InfinitelyCrazyMember[quote author=instantfeed link=topic=4952.msg18296#msg18296 date=1431685784]

Wow! That's a great idea. Why didn't I think of that this whole time. A Breakaway hardware device would be pretty awesome. Like you said, it would solve all the platform problems because we can use it with whatever device that has a 3.5mm output. I would definitely buy one (If they ever decided to make one 😉 -
