We are currently using Breakaway Broadcaster with RadioBoss Automation Software.

I know that we should be able to have Breakaway Broadcaster process the audio we are streaming to our shoutcast server but it won’t

I have checked all of my setting in both programs and can not get it to work at all only on the output going to our transmitter.

In Breakaway Broadcaster I DO have the encoder checked.

Anyone out there help us out?

RadioBOSS doesn’t use any .dll’s to encode stream… Instead it uses command-line encoders, like lame.exe.

You need to install edcast, either the standalone version or the winamp DSP plugin version. If you install the standalone version (which is by far the easiest) you then set the L/R output to a pipeline and input that pipeline into edcast. There are other streaming programs too but most seem to use edcast as its free and quite reliable.
Ticking the encoder button on BBP only activates or de-activates the built in DSP stacker, if there is no streaming DSP loaded under encoder plugins, then there is nothing to stream to. The Edcast DSP does work but it can be quite fiddly to set up and get working whereas I’ve normally found the standalone version much less of a headache.

    Hope this helps,
    Yorkie.
