BBP (Breakway Broadcast Processor) is meant for analog radio broadcasting (FM/AM …).
Breakaway Live is meant for digital broadcasting (and all kind of other things on the digital level).

BBP vs. Live audio quality:

is there sometihng wrong with my ears?
So if you prefer the sound of BBP (on the digital level), it is a proof that either your ears or your audio sources or/and monitoring system have a wrong calibration (have a lack of high frequency response or are damaged).
So you better ask your eyes (watching the oscilloscopes output in BBP and Live) instead of your ears !
Louder is not better !
You have to decide:
Are you broadcasting mainly for members of the mobile phone speaker audiophiles generation (who do not know the difference between music and noise) ?
Or do you want to create a high fidelity quality sound ?
There must remain a certain grade of dynamic range.
It’s all about to find this small sweet spot of compromise between dynamic range on the one hand and consistency on the other hand.
This is the reason why so many people here are waiting so desperately for the next (beta ?) release including Jesse’s legendary Passive Aggressor preset !
