This would be the new Low CPU + Low Latency mode running on my netbook with Intel Atom N280 single core 1.66 GHz CPU .

It’s a new mode in BBP, below cpu optimized, and it uses the low latency clipper from BBP ASIO, non phase linear high pass filter and breakaway core. Result: About 100ms delay (instead of almost 1 second) and low enough cpu to run on a netbook.

Audio quality is very close to full mode BBP, and exactly the same as BBP ASIO in low latency mode.
It’s not fast enough for dj monitoring, but it’s fast enough for playing music without worrying about latency.

    Anyone interested? 😀

Thanks Leif! I’m about to get a netbook and BBP is a MUST install.

BTW, I recently found a very interesting pc cabinet for home theater use from Thermaltake. I think this would be an awesome addition to any stereo system, since you could run BBP for all your music and videos. Some of the models have a touchscreen panel! I’m already trying to decide if I should buy one of these or the netbook, as the DH model looks pretty nice.

It’s generally slightly faster than the N280, not sure if that translates to BBP, but it should be pretty close performance wise. Let us know how it goes if/when the beta is released.

    Indeed:
