    Leif,

    I’m sure you’ve touched on this before but was hoping you could reiterate…

    What is the best method/equipment for setting up Live to be used for headphone processing. If you’ve got minimum specs vs. optimum specs, that would be fantastic. And sound cards, too!

    Hi Adam!

    I’m not sure what you’re asking. CPU requirements? Recommended audio card?

    Breakaway Live on my netbook (Atom N280, Realtek ALC272) with my Sennheiser HD650 headphones plugged into the headphone output works wonderfully and sounds equally wonderful. Not very high system requirements there 😉.

    I’m not sure if I’ll be to either Broadcast Asia or NAB this year, but who knows! I have attended NAB several times previous years, and Broadcast Asia once.

    Sorry about that…should have been more specific.

    I am referring to the headphone processing that jocks use in a studio environment. I tried setting Extra Low Latency on a Turtle Beach soundcard, but there was too much latency. Having never fiddled with ASIO, I am guessing that is the direction we need to go. CPU requirements would be good, too.

    I have an Audiophile 192 at my disposal.

    AH! Yeah that wasn’t clear at all. 🙂

    Yes, you absolutely need ASIO, and by that I mean a sound card with ASIO support. ASIO4ALL need not apply — that’s an ASIO -> KS translator, and Breakaway supports KS internally.

    The AP192 should be able to provide excellent latency — try buffer size 128 or so.

    BTW… I’ve sent about 5 customers your way. They are super-impressed with what you’re doing. And even better, I am in the final stages of getting 7 licenses approved for purchase by a major radio group here in the US. Kick ass!
