Hi Guys,
Anyone use the Audio Technica ATH-M50X cans, or even their older brother the Audio Technica ATH-M50?
Are they a good purchase, considering they are relatively cheap and that I have a bit more to spend on my budget?
Intended uses for them will be for:
1 – Editing audio and voiceovers in Adobe Audition CS6
2 – Tweaking and listening to output of Breakaway Broadcast
3 – Listening to lossless audio from my iPhone
They have 38 ohm impedance – low enough to drive from my iPhone, without the need for a portable amp and are also closed type headphones for sound isolation.
If the Audio Technica AT4033ASM cardioid condenser microphone is anything to go by for voiceover work, then my guess is that the ATH-M50X will be a decent set of cans for their price.
They seem to get great reviews over at head fi, but am interested to see does any other Breakaway processing enthusiasts here use them for monitoring etc and what are their opinions on them?
Thanks
