If I’m feeding an external software encoder from Breakaway via one of the Breakaway Pipeline’s, how can I attenuate the output by say 2db to ensure AAC+ doesn’t overshoot.

Set Peak ref level to -2.

Awesome.. in BBP it’s called L/R Ref Level right (in the Calibration menu)? Sounds much better!

So, how can we do when we are doing AAC+ and mp3 streaming together ?… instead of using 2 instances of BBP…
Because AAC+ must have -2db at least, and mp3 can be at 0 or -1db

You can run the encoders as plug-ins, and use a separate plug-in for each stream.

Place the MP3 encoder first in the plug-in chain, then an attenuation plug-in from http://www.ceaudio.com/plugins and finally the AAC encoder.
