Hi All,
Setup:
Airomate DEMO
ESI Julia@
Breakaway Broadcaster ProcessorTesting for a community radio station
I’ve setup airomate as in the breakaway guide and the rds works but keeps dropping out every couple of seconds so the car stereo goes searching the whole frequency band again then stops again at my frequency.
Any ways to stop this, as it makes it useless to our on the road listeners?
The little RDS symbol in the car is the one that keeps dropping out every couple of seconds.

Tried that, how do I perfect the tilt??
(without purchasing a million pound oscilloscope) or is the only viable option thats cheap is to get the Alpha Marina sound cardps using the balanced output side of the esi juli@ with trs jacks
January 26, 2011 at 7:40 pm #11828feelingMemberSee this viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1026&p=7272&hilit=esi+juli%40+tilt#p7272 . Leif said that the tilt for esi juli@ its 7.
I’ve that issue with Stool but in only in some car radio, I think its a fault with the car radio. Some hardware RDS cause the same fault in the same cars.January 26, 2011 at 11:40 pm #11829JesseGMemberyou can get scopes off ebay for less than 50 bucks all day long. you guys have no excuse to not have 1-2 scopes around. 🙂
if you *really* wanna get nuts, spend 75-100 on a portable digital model. some of them are getting REALLY nice. 🙂
there’s a new one coming out that has me very excited about… it will initially have MSRP of *** $199 (hopefully about $50 less street price). check out the prototype:
the ADC in single channel mode goes up to 144mHz. so you can monitor the FM base-band directly on that little beast!!!! (tell me you don’t want it already) save waveforms to SD. firmware update from SD or USB. sampling into software via USB (linux has a ton of stuff for these already thanks to the "Hammys")… and it’s a very fully featured scope. it’ll also do up to 8192 point FFT-based operations. decent memory built in but with SD you can go as high as you can find.
oh… and it’s smaller than your iPhone.

the hardware itself is designed to be easily modifiable, and the scope software is open source. it would be mental to see some software for these made for FM monitoring. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
January 27, 2011 at 12:35 am #11831AnonymousGuestI would love one if I knew how to use one! I know this is going to start as a little fm project with one computer and a soundcard and end up with a whole shed full of analysis equipment and rds boxes and compressors lol
So set the mpx out tilt in settings to 7.
Can this setting apply to other programs like stereo tools.. Not sure if that has an mpx out tilt option
