I hear you, I’m the same way.
There are some newer versions of VAC that use several improvements from Leif. If they really fix things, then I would agree with you if you suggested that Leif should have released a patcher for Pipeline.

But I’m guessing you’ve already tried that latest version. :<JesseGMember
most now accept that development has stopped.
that’s not a bad thing. most people don’t understand that the work which resulted in the Omnia.9 is the same modular codebase that the new Breakaway will be put together with. that’s ok.JesseGMemberA DSP-X processor can be made to do that pretty easily.
JesseGMemberIt’s the first issue I’ve heard of in Windows 8, nobody else has this issue. What is the exact BBP version you’re installing, and what is the exact version of Windows 8 (‘ver’ on command line)
JesseGMemberIf they gave the license to you, then you own it. I don’t see a problem there. 🙂
JesseGMemberjust heard some REALLY crazy sounding glitching coming from your automation. weirrrrrrd.
JesseGMemberneat station. it’s peaking at around -6dB most of the time, but seems proper considering how smashed the recordings are that you’re playing (not a misspeak)… in case a track with more dynamics plays, you’ll have enough headroom for the detail. long as the loudness stays the same, that’s all that counts.
on another note, i wonder what this stuff sounds like through Undo?
JesseGMembereven if you’re able to recover the usability of the product, you probably shouldn’t be using the license, as it belongs to that other company.
JesseGMemberCC Labs also has the C4 4-band composite processor they use on some of the most brutally competitive formats/markets. That is hopefully gone by the wayside as new omnia flagships are being installed. It’s not nice to the sound at all, and it’s just not louder or even as loud anymore.

Under “connections” right click RDP-Tcp, under Properties choose “Client settings” tab
and uncheck “Audio and video playback”.JesseGMemberright click on it, go to the instrumentation you want. you can also resize the toolbar.

ahemJesseGMemberNPR has a setup (extensive!) for testing multipath, but they had to make all of the software and hardware themselves I’ve sure. One can’t get this stuff off the shelf. One has to make it.
All of those (8600, 11, 9, AirAura, etc) are software solutions for SSB. 😉 But you’re probably asking about something for Windows, I’m guessing. Nothing is available yet (public), that I know of.
JesseGMemberthe whole point in having that is so that it CAN’T be used for actual production work. in the case of a DJ, this happens to be: playing an event.
we felt it better than letting someone use it (to also make money from it) and then forget about it in a week or month when the software times out.
also: playing a live event with completely untested (on your setup) software? even if it was Breakaway. hehe. gotta learn to really put stuff through a lot of proper testing before rocking it live, or you’ll continue to run into the unexpected. 8)
how did it go otherwise?
JesseGMemberPassive Aggressor won’t add much of any density at all, which is kind of the whole point. That being said, that doesn’t mean that the density/dynamics won’t be consistent with it either, since Undo takes care of the crap that’s way too dense (keyword: crap).
In what’s out now, you might try Jill FM which is also hot in the midrange, and decently more dense. Might be a bit too "soft" sounding in comparison, because it’s limiting the transient peaks way more in the multiband, but that’s the compromise when pushing for density.
