You guys are too nice!
The original poster is clearly a "back-linker"
Lee XSMemberLee XSMemberYes, there’s an update just sitting here which will come out with the new framework….there’s a major update for the Point Blank preset also. 😉
Lee XSMemberHi Buik,
I think it’s because there was a pirate station causing major interference and they were found to be using Broadcast Warehouse equipment and they got canned for it, so they decided to stop selling all the kits/modules to Europe to stop the risk of this happening.
Their gear is very good so I think it was more user error than manufacture error.
Back on topic, we either need to find someone out of Europe to supply us at a decent price or maybe someone can test the clone on eBay I have linked above to see if it’s the same quality??
Lee XSMemberHey, thanks for the link but I’m after the kit version as not only it’s much cheaper but I don’t require the case or psu. This one:

I have also found this on eBay which looks like an exact copy, has anyone had any experience with it:
Lee XSMember

LOL…well, I’m using one of the original versions. If it aint broke…
I suppose. Although there was an update at some point there (i forget which version) which had the core update with a higher resolution (more bits) calculations happening, and the jump in quality was audible even at a glance. 🙂 Several others noticed it too, before it was mentioned.
…as well as the addition of the stereo challenger!
Lee XSMemberJesse can feel free to edit the post with up to date links and tweaks if he wishes. 😉

Can someone make it sticky!
January 12, 2011 at 9:27 pm in reply to: Where has the "recommended mp3 encoder settings" thread gone #11753Lee XSMemberThat was a very valuable sticky indeed…it had all the up to date links required to get going… 😯
Oh well….
Lee XSMemberDon’t think anyone or any product is dying, it’s more like everyone is recovering from the holidays. It’s already been mentioned that an all new Breakaway platform is going to be launched very shortly so just be patient!
Anti-spam procedures are in place.
In regards to support, you’ll find that 90% of the questions that get asked here, have ALREADY been asked and answererd! So all it takes is a quick search and you’ll get the answer you were looking for.
Happy New Year
EDIT: I have just noticed that Leif has already answered all your questions in the new sticky post right at the top of the forum entitled "status update" – have a read!
Lee XSMemberIf it’s web only, I’d suggest having the final drives waaaay down to around -4.0!!! There’s no need to be that loud! 🙂
Lee XSMemberHi Martin,
Good news, I have tweaked the wideband in the preset and it works a treat on sudden bursts.
Other adjustments include reduced clipper drive and band 6 final gain reduced slightly. The preset sounds super sweet for FM on "any" music format! The preset will also be making it’s way onto Breakaway live!
Bad news is, there will be no more updates on BBP for a least a few months until Leif unleashes the all new platform.
I have also modified the Point Blank preset for better sounding, less abrasive mid-highs and more controlled multiband limiting! This is one killer preset now! It’s between this and New York in terms of damn right loud without sounding like a bag of bolts!!
Time to start a fresh preset me thinks! Any ideas??
😉
Lee XSMemberNice one Jesse, you have PM. 😉
Lee XSMemberHey Martin, thanks for taking time to upload those clips, I’ll be working on the preset over Christmas, I’ll let you know how I get on. 😀
