The old forum was too easy for hackers to leave inappropriate posts, so we have migrated the content to this new platform. Hopefully, we can keep the comments strictly to Breakaway and related audio matters.
We all have our “Learner’s Licence” for now, but we will endeavour to keep things on the rails for you.
Admin TeamHi. Glad to have a more secure forum. Sadly this current layout doesn’t show the latest topic. You have to scroll down and look at the latest post time instead. I don’t know if this is changeable, but it would be an appreciated inclusion.
Secondly, the microphone banner is kinda tall. You have to scroll down a page-length to get to the topics.
These are my only notes for now. Thanks for looking into a better forum!

The new format is taking a little to get used to after using the other one for so long. There may very well be better or more efficient ways to arrange things. As we Admins figure it out, you may see some changes slide into place. We get the WordPress people to convert the old posts, and this is what they came up with, but nothing is set in concrete.What I am hoping we can provide is quicker responses to real questions, as I now have a closer alliance with the “people who know things”.
Finally I could login into the new forum, but it was really a pain in the a**. But it was my fault messing around with passwords, thanks to fabbbio. 🙂
Good Point! WordPress uses “plugins” to build a website. Maybe there’s a “report dodgy posts” plugin. I’ll look into that!
I have received some reports on the old forum that some have had difficulties in creating a new profile. I am trying to get to the bottom of this, as it seems to be something which upsets the bot detection. Meanwhile, if you PM me on this or the old forum, with at least your preferred username and a vailid email address, I will endeavour to create your profile with a password which you can edit after a successful login.
Please, reduce the size of the banner… It’s unnecessarily huge and forces to scroll down to see any piece of information.

I need some technical help with Breakaway one we’ve been off the air for about a week now. IVE been working on a disorganized mess of wires and equipment. I’m totally new to breakaway one or anything similar to it for that matter. Its an old Fm broadcast studio with 2 radio stations and streaming with stl. We’ve got a Nautel Importer (WINDOWS 7) with 2 Orban optimod-pc cards in the studio. AT the transmitter site: intel core duo pc with a digigram vx222 v.2 with a esi wave card. It appears one of on the optimod cards went out. Is there a tech support number or maybe Leif, Milky or anyone available later today that’s familiar with this stuff TeamViewer in and help me out.
Just thought I’d check here first.
It would save me a lot of time. I realize I must be posting in the wrong spot.
But what would an hour of somebody’s time to be worth??
