Volume control problem \ Suggestion

Hello Leif !

First of all, congratulations for Breakaway Audio Enhancer ! It is practically the best audio processor for PC.

I have one small problem. I have a laptop that has volume control keys, but they control the volume of the primary audio device (which is Breakaway). But nothing happens when I press + or -. I think of 3 options:

1) a patch or registry edit that sets Breakaway as primary device, but volume control is related to the secondary audio device (laptop soundcard)

2) a feature within Breakaway to capture the hotkeys of the laptop volume keys

3) a feature within Breakaway to link the dB volume bar in the application with the windows volume bar in taskbar volume control

I tried the provided BaPipelineConfig.exe, but it says "Wrong driver version 4.9.8.2388". I guess I have a newer version of Breakaway Audio Enhancer (it is v1.30.02)

I've solved this problem. I've found an Autohotkey script that did it: http://pcjabber.com/files/BAEvolume_0.5.3.ahk. First, you need to install Autohotkey, in order to launch the script or compile it to an .exe. You can modify the hotkeys in the script (for volume-up, volume-down and mute). I've set them like this: VOLUME_DOWN, VOLUME_UP and VOLUME_MUTE (they correspond to the media keys present on any media keyboard).

The problem is the script lacks an OSD. So, I managed to merge with another script, an OSD script. Now I have Breakaway Volume Control and OSD according to the volume settings of Breakaway. I have attached it to this e-mail, along with gdip.ahk script for compiling to exe to work. I'm sorry I couldn't attach the .exe, but attachments are limited to 192KB.

VERY VERY SPECIAL THANKS for the creators of those two scripts (Tyler Drake for baevolume and Rijul Ahuja for Windows 8 inspired GDIP OSD).
