How can I make Breakaway Live work with EMU 0404 USB audio interface in 24 bits per sample mode in Windows 7?
I’m trying, but it doesn’t working.
    Please, help!

None of the current flavors of Breakaway input or output at 24bit.

I’m not sure if that’ll change in the future, but I do know that one of the things I finally convinced Leif to do was to allow the home user versions to input/output up to 192kHz (NOT with processing at that rate), so that we can use Leif’s ASRC, instead of Windows. Allowing 24bit shouldn’t be a problem. 🙂

I'm a brand-new BA Live user and just can't get enough of it! I Internet-broadcast three very different kinds of shows which require three very different kinds of audio processing–oldies, classic rock, and country–and BA Live handles them all! It was as easy to set up as any other DSP I've used, but hey, we all know, that's where the similarity ends.

I'd like to point out, though, two things: (1) While usable if one knows what one is doing, the various control screens (e.g., in the I/O Devices program and the Pipeline configuration program) are not the easiest things to navigate by a person using a screenreader (used by visually impaired computer users) because it appears that standard Windows controls are not used. However, the good side of this is that, wherever a mouse click is required, the behavior of each and every window opened by that mouse-click is consistent throughout the system, so once the visually impaired user knows this, the rest is OK.

I'd also like to know about user-created presets, how to import them, and, if I happen to create one, how to export it so others can try it.

Thanks again for a dynamite product. It's making my programs' audio stand out.

The current Breakaway stuff does actually use standard "common controls" but it's extremely hacked to make look the way it does.  The Newframework is completely self generated though, and the only thing it uses from the host OS is a blit to make it show up on the gpu/screen.

I'll ask Leif about what the future holds for the visually impaired.
