Hi Joop!
No, not yet — I’m just now getting settled back into life here. One of my UPSs failed while I was gone (probably heatstroke), and I just bought a new one today, so I was finally able to get my server running again.
I still need to set up a couple of computers to do long term testing / debugging.
I’ve seen the meter flash issue once though. It didn’t affect audio, but it has certainly thrown me for a loop — I have no idea how it’s possible. It’ll take me a while to debug I’m sure.

October 12, 2009 at 11:15 am #7890AnonymousGuestLeif, perhaps a low-end machine may be affected by such an issue ? Our processor employs an P4 2.8 HT pc and when bars flash red, audio skips.

October 14, 2009 at 3:31 am #7891LeifKeymasterHm.. Not likely to be related to graphics — the bars are drawn for every frame whether they change colour or not. It’s definitely a bug to be fixed though.

Hello Ricardo these using the Autobalance plug-in? I do this question to you because the failure(judgement) that your you have, happened to me later that installs the plug-in, remove it and I solve the problem.Sorry for my English
Regards!October 17, 2009 at 7:02 pm #7893Joop KrauthausenMemberHi all !
Nah.. thats not it.. we do not use the plug-ins..not one of them, and the problem exists anyway.
it seems though..that the problem doesn’t occur that often as in the beginning of my postings.
cause my latest reset was over a week a go! normally it would start after a day or two..still the same parameters and operating environment.
Isn’t that strange?Greets!

Regards![/quote]Gusty,
Não, eu não estou usando o Autobalance… Me parece que o problema está na versão .80, instalei a .87 e estou observando o comportamento de perto…
————————————————————————————————————-No, I’m not using the Autobalance plug-in… Seems that the issue happened on this (.80) release.. I have installed the latest (.87) release and the unit is under close observation… I have used the trial/demo version of the .80 release on my home Core 2 Duo PC and after 3 days the hiccups began, what led me to a preliminary guess that there may be something wrong with the .80 release. It’s just a guess and I know Leif will check what might be happening.
Eruption is on air now and *again* our station is the loudest (and cleanest !) station on the whole dial. It’s really funny to listen to the competition and notice their useless efforts to get that extra juice out of their boxes trying to catch up with our BBP… 😆

October 19, 2009 at 6:59 am #7895Joop KrauthausenMemberHi all!
I’m checking BBP everyday and since last week it did not show the red blinking bars.
Maybe a stupid detail.. before last week we had the big meters running.. last week we showed the scopes big..so.. meters big.. bars blinking / scopes big.. no blinking?
turned to the big meters, in two day’s we know.
Ciao!
Joop
October 19, 2009 at 8:36 pm #7896AnonymousGuestWe are also still using the .80 version of BBP.
It’s running at the transmitter site for about 2 months now…
No reboot needed, no strange things just nice punchy audio..
Just wanted to let you know..Greetz,
OttoOctober 21, 2009 at 7:45 pm #7897AnonymousGuestLeif,
The .87 version crackled on air today, but this time I just opened the I/O Configuration – which took the station off air – and just clicked on Finish.. and the crackling vanished. I hope this information may help you.

October 22, 2009 at 12:54 am #7898LeifKeymasterRicardo, was the pipeline involved in your configuration at all?
Best,
///LeifOctober 22, 2009 at 9:39 am #7899AnonymousGuestIt is not Leif… my config is Line In (M-Audio 192) –> BBP –> MPX Out (M-Audio 192).
OS: W2K SP4
PC: P4 HT 2.4, 2 Gb RAM
No Network connectionRicardo
October 22, 2009 at 12:25 pm #7900LeifKeymasterAlright, good to know. I’ve dedicated several machines to long-term testing here now. This will allow me to narrow down the problem.
Ricardo, do you have any idea how long it had been running when the problem occured?
///Leif
October 22, 2009 at 12:57 pm #7901AnonymousGuestYes. We installed .87 on Oct. 17th. and it yesterday we needed a "warm restart" – read it opening the I/O Config panel, taking the station off air and restoring normal operation – or a 4 day period.
I am not THAT concerned because I know we have a low-end PC. Albeit it’s a low-end PC it’s always good for a developer to be aware of problems, and I tell you that because I’m a hardware/embedded system developer.
Ricardo
October 23, 2009 at 1:33 am #7902LeifKeymaster4 days!! That’s really not good. Well, I’ll hit the 4-day mark very soon myself, so at that point at least it will be easy to debug.
Although, I think if this was consistently happening, I would have heard it from a lot more people.. Well, let’s see what happens — I’m currently working hard to tie up all the loose ends that have happened from the heavy feature development as of the last few months.
