Thanks for the feedback – I also have Roku Soundbridge (2 actually in different rooms) and added your stream in there last night so I laughed out loud when I read your post! Similar minds indeed!!

How is your system running at the moment with the earlier version?
BTW, do you need additional capacity for your streaming? I have spare capacity on our development streaming server if I can be of any assistance to you.

Everything is fine with the 90.69 version. Waiting to hear from Leif if the issue is indeed in the new version, and when it may be corrected. I’m in no hurry, as I know he’s a very busy guy, and I am confident he will get it straightened out. It’s not like 90.69 is a bad product after all !! (although the stereo enhancer in the new one is really nice!)
I will try your other streams shortly…been busy with other things. This morning I was running a Jazz playlist, and did some tweaking of the Jazz preset…man, what a nice sounding preset. I think I’m going to try the current setings with all different music and see how it goes.
As for server capacity, I am good at this point. I don’t really have a lot of listeners, so I am usually OK. I have to mention one thing while listening to your station the other night…you played a Prefab Sprout track…I was floored !! I thought I was the only person in the world who liked them….so hat’s off! We don’t have a lot of the same material on our streams, but I like a lot of what you play, so I am brodening my horizons. Thanks!! 😀

Great news on the version issue not re-occurring on .69 – where can I get a copy of that to allow me to run on another installation to see if it removes the effect I am experiencing? I am also confident Leif can resolve it and I too like the Jazz preset – we have another stream for different programming and it really works well for that format.
I’ve also heard a few new ones on your stream that I have noted down too! Convergence of musical tastes for sure so lets see if there are some others you stumble upon. Where in the world are you located… US west coast? I guess you here the overnight programming which is radically different to the UK daytime format and it allows me to find and play some interesting stuff…to me at least!
I’m really pleased with the support I have received on this forum so happy to help members out in any way I can using our spare capacity and other resources.

Is the clicking issue fixed in your latest version or is this still something you are looking into?
I have tested a number of other software processors or plugins over approx 2 month period now and these continue to work fine but I need to restart Breakaway Live every 5-7 days approx to avoid these clicks/skipping. As simple restart is all that is needed and the problem disappears for another week or so.
I believe Riplee went to use an earlier version but not heard if this is now working for him. If possible perhaps you can point me to an earlier version that I can try.
Once again – sincere thanks for such an excellent product.

I’m not sure. I’m doing long-term testing on a machine here, haven’t seen the problem yet, but it may not have been a week. An automatic update helpfully restarted the machine the first time, after running for about 5 days. Gee, thanks 🙂.

When the new version with the FANTASTIC Eruption preset came out, I figured I’d give it a try…what the heck! Up until that point, I was running 90.69 with no problems whatsoever. I tried the new one, fell in love with Eruption…and after about 4-5 days, the problem resurfaced. So, whatever is going on is in the latest builds…possibly the pipeline as I understand it. I wish there was some way to use the new BL, with the old pipeline…that would be a good test. Perhaps Leif you might compile a "Test" version for this…?
Anyways, I love this new preset so much, that I am willing to restart every so often, so I can continue using Eruption. Is there any way of adding newer presets to older versions, by any chance? 😕[quote author=”Riplee”]Hi guys !

I’ve been running it for a week straight now and have yet to be able to reproduce it. Could you record the clicks for me? I’m really getting frustrated — without being able to reproduce it, I have no chance of finding the problem.

I just rebooted the machine yesterday, so it’ll probably be a few days before it starts again. I will surely record it if you’d like.
I know you listened to the stream when it was happening before, and agreed it’s not a good thing!
After doing as you asked, and returning to 90.69, I didn’t have nay problems…for weeks.
Again…I really love the new preset…"Eruption". It’s my kind-O preset! 🙂
I’ve tweaked it a bit…and love the sound I am now getting.Will be in touch when I have more to share!
OK…it’s back! I just tuned in from work, and the crackling has begun again. I posted my station URL earlier in this thread if anyone wnats to hear it.
Is there any way to "export" this Eruption preset and import it into a different version? I really like the sound I am getting currently…save for the crackling.
I don’t know what is going on, but it only happens on the newer versions….never happens with 90.69
If there was any way to get Eruption in 90.69 I would be a very happy camper! 😀At my case happent to 90.69 also.
I have to restart the pc every 2-3 weeks.Next time I will try to restart only BBP.
I’ve never had this issue with 90.69…only with versions since then.
Also…when this occured over the weekend, restarting BL wasn’t the answer…I had to restart the PC.Hi,
I have the same clicks problem with the latest version of BBP (the one including the Eruption preset), which version of BBP would you suggest I go back to?

I seem to have been able to get rid of most of the clicks (cracks) by increasing the Buffer size to "Huge".
I am reluctant to give up "Maximum quality" though…
Works much better now despite a few annoying cracks here and there!
