Guesthello leif
thanx too for this amazing solution. this solution works pretty well with SAM3 and SAM4. I’m sure the SAM community will be on your site if this will be included in the final release.
my current tests has been done with mp3 encoders. most SAM users have not only 128kbit mp3, they offer various formats like OGG, MP3 and WMA in one SAM instance.
therefore i test mixt encoders as next.can’t wait for the final release 😉
thumbs up

KeymasterYou’re welcome 🙂
It will definitely be included, it seems to be a necessary feature to be able to use it in certain real world-situations.

MemberLeif,
Can you do something similar for StationPlaylist? It, too, has the ability to encode streams from DSP.
PS…I already tried the plug-in utility, but wasn’t able to actually get the audio moving through the processor.

KeymasterHi Adam!
BBP doesn’t support it (yet).. Only Breakaway Live so far. Could you try it with Live on a separate machine, just to make sure the mechanism works?

MemberHey Leif,
I actually did try it with Live on a separate machine. I got the LiveLinks to appear in StationPlaylist’s output plug-ins, but I still wasn’t able to route the audio properly. Not that I would expect you to do this, but is there a chance that you could download the free trial of Studio and try it? I think it works a little differently than SAM.

Guesthi
just a short update regarding my testing.I’m currently running SAM4 on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server. the installation went well and the test channel is running w/o any issues.
Test link for a "inter galactic ear experience" on request 😉
keep you posted.

KeymasterGot it, Adam.
The secret regarding StationPlaylist Studio is that the DSP plug-ins do not get initialized until you press Close to close the options window!
Place the LiveLink plug-in in the StationPlaylistEnginePlugins directory, then go to Options – Output – Mixer in SPLStudio, Refresh (so that you’ll see the newly added plug-ins), place a check-mark by the LiveLink plug-in, and press the Close button. Done!
(Worked for me, anyway!)

MemberLeif,
This solution also works for StationPlaylist Studio! Setup Breakaway Live as previously instructed. In Studio:
Add the LiveLink dll to the engine/plugins folder.
In the Output settings select "Null output".
In the Digital Signal Processors Section Check the "Breakaway-Live Livelink1".
And also check Oddcast DSP so you can stream. (Make sure Oddcast is below Livelink in the list). No need to set up an encoder within Breakaway.Voila! Streaming processed audio from a computer with no sound devices!
Edit: Just noticed you replied with the same answer. I’m so observant!
