    JesseG,

Would you use this preset for 80s and 90s music (soft, pop, rock…) ?

Would you use it for Rock?

Which band(s) would you recommend one emphasizes for Rock?

    Thanks!

Personally I wouldn’t try to get any more stereo out of any of the bands from where I have it set. I tried to get the MAX stereo effect, without effecting some other things badly that I talked about above, like voice intelligibility. It won’t be flawless, there’s bound to be 2-3 tracks it makes a tad less intelligible but so far in my testing the settings seem to be pretty safe actually, despite the huge sound.

You said, you had tested it with modern music.
    What’s modern music for you : dance ? pop ? rock… ?

    This is wide stereo.
What would you do to make it sound soft but nice stereo ? Because you said in a previous post that this sound is wide stereo and these settings are made to prevent "blur vocals"…

Thanks Jesse: very impressive stereo and clean vocals!

    Cheers,

I would reduce the gain of B4 to 8db for a less wide stereo for some low bitrate streams… What do you think about it ?

    Omg, absolutely fantastic settings JesseG!
Brings up completely new things from songs i’ve heard several times before — with and without Breakaway 🙂

    BTW,

Jesse’s settings are my favorite so far. Pretty freaking spot-ON.

Jesse’s settings are indeed the bomb. We’re using a minor variation of it that everyone seems to agree is "just right". We bumped up Max Gain in the B4 and B5 bands, in order to give it more room to achieve Jesse’s target width in those bands (100% and 85%, respectively).

sorry for the dum question but, would anyone be willing to give me a breakdown of what each thing does on this enhancer? at the moment i just have everything a part from the max gain down to the low settings, the max gain is at 9 but i do know this needs to be changed. thanks

I didn't really have one, so I decided to make one.

Very wide sounding, lots of air, but also doesn't "blur" the vocals at all.  Sometimes makes the vocals even more upfront.  Try this on some modern music.  <!– s8) –>8)<!– s8) –>

    JesseG,

I am currently doing a lot of testing prior to getting Breakaway on-air. Earlier, I was testing your Challenger settings, at it was great. However, your screenshot in this post can't be loaded now, so are you willing to post your Challenger settings again? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Aha! In the quote of your post – in this post – the image now shows. Well, nevermind then! 😉
