Awesome. Thanks for checkin’ it out!

I didn’t realize I was using the 6db attenuator before Edcast. I switched that to 2db, and then I backed off the final drive by 1.5.

Previously, I was using SoundSolution. Did OK, but always wanted it to do MORE. Breakaway has accomplished that for me.

The main sound that I’m looking for is CONSISTENCY with cuts from varying vintage. Older songs that lack high-end, followed by a newer song with lots of high-end shouldn’t blow me off my chair when my automation program does the segue. "New York" is accomplishing this for me right now, with Range at 75, Power at 50, speed at 50.

I will give these new "tweaks" a listen. I don’t have access to the RTA right now (I’m now at work for the day), so if you have two minutes to run the stream through the ‘scope and see if my tweaks have made any difference, I’d appreciate it!

    Thanks again, Leif!

I’ve actually been listening for a couple of hours.. I can’t explain it, but the music just makes me happy 😉.

I do see the difference, and it’s much better! However, you can still come up another dB, you’ve got plenty of room. Headroom-wise it’s much better, seeing some nice short-term dynamics and punch now.

I was listening for a few hours today, and had a few other people tuned into the uplifting vibes too. Good stuff 🙂 from your neighbor in MN 😉

Thanks, Leif and Jesse… glad you enjoyed your time listening.
I have a ton of fun putting it all together.

I think we’re sounding pretty good with BBP on "New York."

Question: which presets use an inf:1 ratio on the AGC? I think "New York" and "Reference Heavy" do. Any others?

    Hi Aaron!

Actually a lot of presets do. You can test whether a preset has Inf:1 ratio (or multiband) in the following manner:

Make sure you see large meters, including the numbers next to the meters.

Set range to 50, and Power to 50. Then, adjust Power to 100 while looking at the meters.

Did the numbers next to the AGC move? If not, the AGC is already at Inf:1.
Did the numbers next to the Multiband move? If not, the Multiband is already at Inf:1.
