So, I will ask you to try one more thing:

Try Breakaway in safe mode (either WaveOut or DirectSound).

    Does it still do it?

    ///Leif[/quote]

It will still do it in WaveOut and DirectSound.
    I’m through this already.
PCI Soundcard mAudio Delta 1010LT locked at 44.100 Khz.
Windows XP Pro SP3 on an AMD 1800.

    Hi Leif!

The test using safe mode and wave is finished. The 9:55hs sound file recorded is clean, without stops nor "helicopters".

Today, I´ll make the wave test over again (at least 19:00 hs), to confirm the result.

    Carlos.

    Hi Carlos!

Allow me to clarify — the Safe Mode checkbox in the wizard, controls only what audio interface to use for output.. That’s *all* it does — if you’re changing the Interface drop-down in the expert configuration window, whether Safe Mode is on or off, doesn’t matter.

With that out of the way, did you say that using KS for input and Wave for output, still had the dropouts? I’m confused — can you tell me which Input and Output interfaces you were using?

    Hi,

Using wave for input and wave for output, don’t had dropouts. The sound recorded is clean.

    Hi Leif!

    My lasts tests:

    18:40 h – Wave input / Wave output – No dropouts
    9:30 h – KS input / DS output – No dropouts

    To summarize my tests:

    1. KS input / KS output – Stop 3.6 s to each 6:11 h
    2. Wave input / Wave output – No dropouts
    3. KS input / DS output – No dropouts

After this, what’s a best settings to my system? Wave input/Wave output or KS input/Ds output?

    Hi Carlos!

Excellent find. Ever thought about working in Quality Assurance? 🙂

Thank you so much for your help. Not that you’ve shown me where to look, I believe I’ve found the problem!

I went over the kernel streaming code with a fine toothed comb, and I believe I found something.

Can you try the latest version (RC4) with KS in, KS out?

    RC4 will be up soon.

New version will also have DS input available.

    Thanks again!
