Is BBP able to sound as amazing as FlaixFM sounds?

Hi!!

I would like to know if BBP is able to make a similar sound as the sound of Flaix FM.

Flaix FM is the most listened dance-music station in Barcelona. They’ve one of the best audio that I’ve ever heard. 8)

Is possible to have a similar sound??

I’ve tried the Classical, French Kiss, Helix, Plutonium, New York presets… but I’m unable to find a sound like that. 🙁

I’ve recorded (from a FM radio receiver to the computer) 10 min. of audio. You can download it from here:

I like the Helix preset with these settings: +1.5dB,50,80,50,-20,+15 . I like the sound but… is not as good as the Flaix FM sound… 🙄

The recording sounds like mono, so we can’t actually determine if there were any stereo effects..
Of course streams are stereo.

But oh my god, listening to this makes me miss summer ;(

I recorded it in a mono setup. I’m sorry 😳 😳

I’ve recorded a new sample.This is recorded in stereo , from a FM radio receiver to the computer.

I tried messing around with French Kiss for 5 minutes… adjust drive to taste.

You also need decent stereo enhancer settings of course, since that’s a big part of that sound too…

Have you tried Motor City with the bass down a tad?

Few months ago I record the MPX signal of this station with my Tivoli Model One in Lleida province.

I upload the record, please JesseG, can you confirm with this MPX that this model of Orban is 8600 and the better parameters are the you have said?

I realize that this station sounds dirty, but I have a friend who wants that sound.

It sounds very good. I’ve set the drive at 2.0dB, basscut at -30, spartacus plugin set at 80ms and 100% (i like it more than the stereo enchancer of BBP as the effect is more "louder"), bass efx at 3 and impact/clunk 1-2.
I don’t know if these settings are correct for FM broadcasting?¿? It souns very good 🙂 🙂

I like A LOT the sound but… Is there anyway to put more bass on it?? I like clear highs, wide stereo and punchy bass… 😛 😛

What I know is that Flaix FM using an Optimod 8500 also Flaix FM Eivissa (Ibiza)

Has 8600 DSP card upgrade.I could tweak it to sound alot better.Eng friend very loyal to Orban just installed a new 8600.That baby rocks.Bass is GR8 not synthethic sounding as the 6exi it replaced Rock on..8600 is much cleaner than the 8500..

Do you think that the final drive at +4dB is too much???

I can’t sound as loud as the other stations…. 🙁
